Re: SPID codes

It's a list of options that came on your car, what engine, transmission, suspension, extra equipment etc. This subject comes up a lot and frankly one gets tired of posting the same information time and time again. I don't want to sound like a grump, but please use the search function to find SPID codes. Or use Google - they're everywhere.

Re: SPID codes

I know the label reads "Service Parts" but if you search the www for decoding search for "RPO Codes" instead. They are more commonly referred to as "Regular Production Option" instead of "SPID" codes.

Re: SPID codes

Thats because SPID stands for Service Parts Identification label. This label will list the RPOs (Regular Production Options) and SEO (Special Equipment Options).

Re: SPID codes

Thanks guys, I searched for SPID but came up with garbage, but when I did RPO I found a site that has nearly all of them.

I just wanted to know what kinda of rear end gears i had/trans.

Md8=Th 700r4 and I got the 2.56 ratio gears.
