How the US will unfold

I just got a second of insight, many of yall older people might understand this

So im sitting there thinking of my my friend thats going into computers. And im thinking about how everyone eles is going into computers. Then i realized that the world is all going to become the same in a few short centuries.

So im thinking to myself "People get skills from their parents, thats the way its happened for many years, until recently... people like andy go into computers..."

Then i realized that people dont get skills anymore, its all comuters, computers this computerize that.. With everyone going into computers, people are going to get less and less skill trades, everything will become computerized, and only the best of the best people with computers will get a job because the economy will be flooded.

Yall sorta see what im going at right? I tried to explains it good, but its one of those things thats kinda hard to explain you know?

Hey, as long as you believe that, you stay at your computer and be good.

Me, I'm going to be better because I have more skills than just sitting at a computer.

Re: How the US will unfold

yea sorry to rain on your parade ... but i dont see that happening anywhere other than the matrix...yea computers are becomming very usefull and a lot more people are starting to learn how to operate them...but thats just adding on to a "skill" what i think will happen is more and more parents will stop caring how there child is raised how it is happening and every generation will lose more and more of the manors . morals . ect... but this is comming from a guy who says yes maim and no maim when adressing an adult.

Re: How the US will unfold

I think most people learn sense, attitudes, and responsibilties from their parents. Not skills. Skills are developed not learned. IMO.

I see where you are going. I'm sure it won't be that bad. especially considering that computer skills are not old yet. Well in that case it could get worse.....

Re: How the US will unfold

A lot of people agree with you, especially those who own "trade" companies. There's a severe shortage of skilled tradesmen already and it will only likely get worse if the problem is unaddressed. That's why you're starting to see colleges and such heavily subsidise courses like welding, body work, etc etc etc.

Re: How the US will unfold

Me and my friends are constantly argueing about a guy...
This dudes name is dan, he's 17, and he wants to go into computers, which just stumps the fucking hell outa me
His dad owns a car repair shop, which he got from his father. In his spare time he collects mopar cars. This guys got everything, SRT-4, Limited edition shadows (his wife liked them so much he bought 4.. not even kidding), and a Jeep worth $50,000 (its got something to do with being the first one made or something) to name some popular ones. Hidden away are all the cuda's, chargers, challanger's. And what i think are the crown jewels, 3 1970 plymoth superbirds (1 suberbird challanger), and 2 1969 daytoa's. And a airplane named as a combo of their last name and money lol
But for real the dad is a good guy, hes not a rich ass mofo, and rubs it in your face, hes just a normal guy who collects really expensive mopars

Re: How the US will unfold

In case you hadn't already noticed, the market is already flooded with computer people. Unless you have the very best skills and have something over everyone else, your chances at finding a job in that field are very slim.

I think you need to smoke less crack dood.

People said the same thing during the industrail revolution. "If everyone is going to work in the factorys who's going to grow the food on the farms?"

Re: How the US will unfold

going into computers?
like, walking into them and making a nest?

are you aware how many facets to the IT industry there are?
as such, your amazingly general statement is more or less redundant, not to mention that there are still a vast number of jobs that have nothing to do with computers as well as the number of jobs that are computer related but only on a user level.

And no, the market is not flooded but the companies can still pick who they want from a very large number of graduates every year. It really is still a case of nepotism or else with regards to IT related jobs UNLESS you graduate from a named University (based on what I know of guys with IT degrees in the UK in the last 3 years)

I work on a computer 80% of the time but i still learnt my basic skill (or draing/drafting) using a pen and a piece of paper. I model in Max but I still started of with a piece of card and a tube of glue. Perhaps when you get a better understanding of how the various professions work you'd make more informed posts.

unless of course we are to take your signature literally and just ignore what you post.
