Ted Williams autograph

My parents have this huge photograph of Ted Williams and Babe Ruth. The photo has a nice wooden frame and it is signed by Ted Williams. There is a hologram on the right hand bottom corner. I know its authentic becuase my parents won it at an auction. The thing is, it has just been sitting in the closet forever and I wanna know how much its worth. I cant take pics because I dont have my camera. If anyone has information, it wil be appreciated! Thanks!

Re: Ted Williams autograph

you'll need to talk to someone at an auction house to get a valuation, but they can't do that without seeing it.

Re: Ted Williams autograph

I honestly hope you're not considering selling this. In my opinion it's priceless. But I'm a huge baseball fan. And if you really want to sell it, hold out for another 10 years and it'll be worth more. But I'd rather have that thing hanging in the wall of my office.

^Yea, I know what you mean.

Some people just don't care though, to them its just another peice of junk. Honestly though, you could definitely get hundreds for it, maybe even a little over a thousand. Either way its definitely worth some bread. I'd say Ebay it if you're serious about getting rid of it. Or you could give it to me :-)

Re: Ted Williams autograph

Well, well just start off with basics
Who the fuck is ted williams?
Look on ebay to see if its there
If its not on ebay, and this thing might be worth a shit, then ill post back on what to do

Edit:
I take it this is almost the exact thing you have... do you know what ebay is?
www.ebay.com is a auction site that has "everything" legal

Re: Ted Williams autograph

Ted Williams is a very popular ex-Red Sox from back in the Babe Ruth, Joe DiMaggio, Mickey Mantle era (damn I just named 3 Yankees...). Unfortunately, his name and fame was kind of excalated (sp?) when he passed away some years ago, for some reason his family had his body frozen and they were all bitchin over he has custody of the body.

Bottom line, the picture is gonna be worth a friggin lot.

Re: Ted Williams autograph

It's worth what any given individual collector will pay for it - and that is totallly dependant on the collector.

Sell it to me, I'll give you $1 for it since aside from knowing who those guys are it means nothing to me.

It's pretty sad when somebody tries to correct another person's spelling and can't even spell the word themselves

The word is spelled escalated

Re: Ted Williams autograph

Hank Aaron was after Ted William's times. It sucks cuz when I try to think of all the good players way back when, they're all Yankees. Bastards.

If they're both in uniform I'd think it's a fake, since Babe Ruth's career ended in 1935 and Ted Williams didn't make his debut until 1939.

But if The Great One isn't in uniform and it's authentic, it may be worth something.
