Lancia 037 help

Hi all
I'm trying to get bits together so I can start building a Lancia 037.
But I need help with the door panels. ( see photos ).
I do not think this is carbon fibre, it may be kevlar.
But does anyone sell decals sheets like this.
I have been unable to find any, I may have to try and paint it.
Can anyone help me.
Thanks

Re: Lancia 037 help

It is very definately kevlar, as is almost everything that isn't metal on the 037. Studio 27 and various decal makers make decals for this material, and they can be be found at Mediamix and HLJ.

Yep, the door panels were Kevlar.

Be careful about which brand decal you choose to simulate the pattern though, some will have colors which are off, and others the patterns are off.....you have to choose the lesser of two evils.

Re: Lancia 037 help

Your 2nd ref seem a fiberglass replacement of the original kevlar, btw I seen some models with silver panels (you'll see the kevlar when the paint is ruined)
just to confirm:

Thank you everyone for your help.
I have looked at the the normal suppliers, Modelers, Stuido 27, Scalemotorsport etc.
But their kevlar decals are yellow with bits of black in it.
If I can not find any, I may have to do the door panel as per your photo.

Thanks

Studio 27 kind seems perfect for the color but not for the kind design, you know they have some little shaded square, also I found S27 kind hard like cardboard.
