Re: Let there be good tunes again

The back seat comes in handy. Glad you got it resolved.

lol well ive had this discussion with my roommates, and our definitions vary, but me mostly agree the emo bands are the ones that go on stage and whine about their love lives and cry and stuff.. aka dashboard confessional, if you've ever heard of them
not saying we're all into death metal or that all of 'emo' types suck, but mostly that stuff's annoying as hell. you older guys had the best music, bar none. there are some good bands now, but nothing like back in the day.

My daughter (17 y.o) explained something about EMO one day but I data dumped. She also explained something I never knew before as a parent. The 420 party. Pot party?

Nothing like the oldies. I get a kick out of the old bands like the Stones, Aero Smith, Beach Boys, etc. All grandpops now. Its sad. They should just call it quits and retire.

Re: Let there be good tunes again

These kids or the younger generations are something else today. Here is what I was told about 420. It coincides with Hitler's date of birth: April 20, 1889 and also, it is the month and day anniversary of the Columbine massacre. But it does relate to a pot party and other drugs. I guess once a head always a head...lol. Using some sort of DaVinci code?

Re: Let there be good tunes again

i've got a friend that works at a print shop, well long story short i have a police code book in my possesion, and the 420 code in IL at least is actualy Aggravated Batt. w/ a knife or cutting instrament,

the "cannabis control act" codes are about 25 numbers ranging from 1811(possession of 30grams or less), 2050 (criminal drug conspiracy) to 2080 (some thing about record keeping)

sorry to go on a tangent, but this is my 2 cents on this "Urban legend" about the 420 code
