2 Questions

went to auto zone today and picked up some orange and blue paint. i knew i had clear coat at home but wasnt sure if it would be ok to use on duplicolor paint. now the clear is plasti coat and the paint is dupli color. can i use the clear on the paint??? alo while in auto zone i found a new mirage or kameleon paint. its by duplicolor. and come in thre different colors. now this is a kit of 1. base coat 2. the actual color 3. top coat or clear coat. now eac kit cost $20 bucks and i really liked it but i think 20 is too much. im going back tomorrow and do u think that i should pick one up???

The Mirage paint is a realy fun paint to use on models or anything. If entering it at a contest, it really turns heads. The 3 can system isn't that hard to use, I've used to 2-3 times and have had great results every time. I don't know what color your gonna use, but the purple to green looks more like the $600/pint real thing. Really its your money and your choice.

If you're going to mix brands, wait at least a week between the clear coat and the color coat. If you really want to use the mirage paint, go ahead.

The Mirage system is really easy to use and you get great results .
Recoat in an hour and being lacquer it's very sandable.

There should be enough in the system for 2 or 3 cars so $20 isn't all
that bad !!
