Nology Hot Wires

Does anybody have a good link where i can buy Nology Hot Wires. I only have seen them in the Summit Racing catalogue and i was wondering if i could get them for cheaper elsewhere.

Also... are they worth the money?

Thanks

I dont really think theyre worth the money unless you have your car really souped up for speed. If your just looking for the color, theres other, Cheaper, brands.

color was one issue, but im mainly looking for a really good set of wires and the ad in summit had that picture showing the really bright spark compared to the other puny spark next to it from an average spark wire. It also said something like a 4% HP increase. Im kinda skeptical about that part.

But if you could recommend another really good wire that will help my performance out at all, i would appreciate it.

How much are they in Summit? One of the DSM websites I visit has them at $179 or the likes for my Talon. I've read some reviews that stated the were nothing special, some were even negative how they burned way too hot, but who knows. But $100+ for some wires, you gotta be nuts. I think Magnacore* are like $75 and I've heard nothing but good about those. I need some new wires myself, I still have my old 8mm yellow Accels.

don't spend hundred of dollars on those wires. a regular or stock wires will do. if you want some increase, invest in iridium spark plugs and aftermarket ignition upgrade (MSD recommended)

I was going to buy me some Hotwires but when I was doing some checks online before i bought them i ran into this...

http://iwcweb.com/eclipse/html/warning.html

I will not buy them now. not only becuase one person had problems but because of how the company delt with his problem.

thanks for posting the link. it was interesting. anyways, nothing beats OEM quality wires. after replacing my mom's spark plug wires with some high performance wires, it was better than the old one because the old one was worn out. i exchanged it for OEM wires because my neighbor bought the wrong one for his car and thought he'd just give it to me. i slapped them on and didn't notice anything different from the high performance wires.

part of the reason it wouldn't work better is because of the stock ignition. the stock wires are optimized to work with the stock coil, distributor, etc. u can add as much racing gas as you can to your stock civic, but will it gain anything? nope. its optimized to work with regular gasoline.

magnecor. they've been used for years on the drag circuit and are known for making power.

instead of trying gimmicks for $150 a pop, why not try a proven piece of equipment?
