Talking fuel gauge instument malfuncioning

Hallo friends, I bought a new Nubira SX 2002 and is still in guaranty period. It suffers from malfunction of the fuel gauge (instrument) is malfunctioning. I reported my authorized garage and they say that it was ordered 6 weeks ago. It is most annoying to drive around with an extra smelly gasoline container of gasoline in the in the car boot.
Can anybody specify the responsible person for supply of the spare parts in SE Europe with a valid e-mail address to place a complain? It is obviously not effective at the local dealer.
