How bent is too much?

I was given some 15x8 steel wheels that are a better offset than my 15x7s on my 73 station wagon. I put them on a balancer just to spin them and see if they were bent. Two are perfect. One of them is bent a little on the lip but the bead seems to be straight. Another has a little bend. Its hard to tell how much, but just visible by the eye.

How much will be noticeable. I'll be putting big tires on it; 255/70-15... will that make it less noticable since there's more sidewall, or more noticable since its more weight at a greater diameter that will be off?

I plan on putting a dial gauge on it next time I spin it, but how much will be noticable?

If you can see it, it's probably too much.

But the question is hard to answer as this all has to do with how sensitive the vehicle is - and a 1973 station wagon could go either way.

Understood, thanks. Maybe a junkyard trip is in order to get one more. Maybe I can get four straight ones and keep the bent one for a spare.

it also depends if the lip is bent or the wheel has some real runout to it.

Like I said, one lip is bent and one has actual runout. I'm trying to figure out a way to actually measure it with my dial gauge. I might just use a stick on a fulcrum to see how much it is.
