$56 With Tax and Shipping.. It was a STEAL! probably going to put some 22's on it from the Maisto Playerz Mercedes AMG S55

Re: 1985 Monte Carlo SS

Now that's a looker!!! Very nice.

I'd get another one before I drop 22s on them...

Does the floor mats come off too?

Re: 1985 Monte Carlo SS

Yes the floor mats come off.. and the 22's will go on without harming the car at all.. the origional wheels come off with a screw. And the paint.. you can only appreciate it when you see it in person.. pictures dont do it justice.. I saw it on the site.. and was like " I dont like that color" and now that I have it in my hand.. I love it and am glad that I did not get white.

Now that is a GREAT deal for a model with this kind of detail! I guess I'll start looking for these kinds of models in the future....very very nice!

Re: 1985 Monte Carlo SS

Droped the 22's on it.. the "stock" rims come apart and there is a screw on the inside that screws it to the axle.. all I have to do is take the 22's off and the stock rims go on with out a problem.. so it all works out perfect.. here is a picture

sweet. nice details indeed. 56 is great money for the detail! so it was just like bolt on for those rims? any mods.

Re: 1985 Monte Carlo SS

no mods.. just the wheel swap.. trying to find the "dub city 1:24th DONKS BOX AND BUBBLES" to get some rims off of that.. they should be the same size or a lil smaller than the rims on here..

Re: 1985 Monte Carlo SS

nope.. i did not have to do any modifications to the chassis.. the suspension.. anything.. all I had to do is take the old rims apart to get to the screw holding them on.. and take that off.. and the old rims fit snug on the existing axle.. still able to roll.. and steer.. well almost perfect.. the front wheels kinda run on the wheel wells when they are turned but that is all

Re: 1985 Monte Carlo SS

Just a little update.. I am currently working on a Sub box for the trunk of the car.. the only thing I had to change around was removing the spare tire and the spare tire holder.. I made the inside of the trunk more squared off.. and all I need now is some black and maroon flocking, then it will be done. in scale I dont know if the 2 subs are 12inch or 15inch.. and then the amp.. and probably a monitor between the 2 subs.. I will post pictures as soon as I get the flocking.. for thoes who fallow this post.. THANKS!
And I am also looking for some new rims for this car.. Maisto players 1:18th scale rims work.. 1:24th scale donks.. pretty much the only size rims that will work.. and will look like 22-24's.. so if anyone has any of thoes rims off any of thoes cars and want to sell them LMK
