Exclamation HELP:Reset or Kill Switch on 2000 323I????

I just fell into a serious problem with my 2000 BMW 323I. I got stuck in the Mall parking lot the other day. I locked the car with the alarm on the key and when I got back and unlocked it with the alarm key. I tried to start it and it won't even turn over. I seems like a kill switch or some thing. Everything else comes on but it doesn't crank. I disconnected battery for 5 Min. I also locked and unlocked car with key only. Same issue. Can anybody help me please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
