EGR Value Problems

I have a 94 camaro w/ 134,000. I recently replace the EGR Value, Clean the egr valve and passageways and put new gaskets for the vacum air leaks. But when I drive on the Highway and slow down "service engine light" still comes on, I get the same code "32" saying my EGR value is bad... Any Idea's to why this is still giving me problems

Re: EGR Value Problems

maybe the valve itself is bad, not just dirty?

Re: EGR Value Problems

Wow, you actually bought a whole new EGR valve? Them suckers are expensive. I had the same problem and was curious to see how much it cost for a new one and my friend who worked at Advance Auto parts said it was like $120ish. I was having the same problem for quite some time, I finally just got around to looking at it to see if I could figure out what the problem was (not like I ever really cared, heck it's the EGR), and I found that the gasket was completely fried. So I went and bought a new one and sealed it with some silicone adhesive and got some carb cleaner and cleaned all up inside the EGR valve. SES light hasn't come back on after that.

Re: EGR Value Problems

Can't you ohm those suckers out to see if you have a bad solenoid. I never had to do it on a camaro, but it's the best darn way to check a digital EGR, unless it's one of the linear goofballs, then I think you can't.
