Dropped idle...took pics

An idea of how she sounds at idle....
http://home.comcast.net/~mrluos/idle.wmv
Could very easily knock it down another 100 RPM's to about 875. Although I am not sure that is such a good idea. Already shakes the ground as it is. Car rocks pretty good.

And put another 100 miles on her as well. Getting there. Dyno tune should be in roughly 3 weeks.

Couple new pics...car is still dirty...but you get the idea. Still plenty to install.

Re: Dropped idle...took pics

Don't care for the blacked out look Erdal??
I know the tires look like crap on the car right now...soon to be changed though.

Those are gauges. I wouldn't have done them if I didn't want them. Stock motor...wouldn't have gotten them.
But I wanted to keep a close eye on my fuel pressure and coolant temp. The stock temp. gauge sucks. Basicly just a dummy gauge.
Top gauge is an air/fuel gauge. Not connected though. It is a narrowband...and I want a wideband in there. In time.

Re: Dropped idle...took pics

Why not try 900? Does it have to be an increment of 75?

Re: Dropped idle...took pics

I can make it any number I want for the most part.
I didn't want to go too far and my tuner/friend was holding a gathering at the shop, so I didn't want to ask for too many changes.
Each time I would be changing it, we would have to upload the entire program back to the computer. Doesn't take that long...but he was busy.

Once it gets dyno tuned, it will have its final idle speed. Probably right around 900.

what else was blacked out besides the running lights? and are you going to but the torque thrusts on even though they aren't powder coated yet?

Re: Dropped idle...took pics

I can't decide what to do with the wheels.
They aren't getting powdercoated. At least not yet.

I already spent that allotted $$ on suspension.

The brake light on the wing, the side markers, front blinkers all got blacked out.
I didn't completely black them out either. Since you basicly control the level of darkness with how many coats of paint get put on....I went a little light. Some reflection...but not much.

Re: Dropped idle...took pics

The Nitto's should be here tomorrow.

Had a minor issue with the tire shop dinging a wheel that had to be taken care of.
Should have them wrapped no later than Tues. as long as the Nittos arrive.

Re: Dropped idle...took pics

Kooks 1 7/8" headers
3" true duals with a 4" x-pipe.
Bullit mufflers. (thinking about changing that)

Oh yeah...large cammed stroker motor.

Re: Dropped idle...took pics

I like how the 3rd brake light looks blacked. Something like that won't work for me, car is blue and 3rd light is a string of led's. That stuff come in blue?

blue tint over a red lens? might come out to a sort of purple color. you could always shave it. but that would be a lot more work than using a rattle can.
