Sliding door mod.

I have an 87 astro CL.
I am wondering if there is any sites, or anyone that knows what it would take to convert a sliding door to one with hinges. I cant open my slideing door due to the size of the rims.

Hehe! Dude I own an 87 astro as well. I am souping it up when I get more money. Anwyay, that door idea would be way cool man! I say go for it. Are you talkin opening up as in hinges on top? OR Opening out to the left? You should think about opening up. I think if you had it open left, you'd have to have some friggin strong hinges that might come out of whack often because of the looong door

access some of the onlineastro van clubs. i have seen many with "gull wing doors" and other extreams. they could give you some realistic ideas , maybe prevent problems. why try to reinvent the wheel when somebody else has already made the mistakes-right? richard
