I was working on changing a few small bulbs in a couple switches (the rear wiper switch and the headlight switch) and after I put everything back, I flipped the lights on and all the dash lights are out. I can't see a thing at night now. My headlights are working fine and so are the ceiling lights if i push the dimmer switch all the way up. This is on a 98 EB explorer.
I did check the fuses in the interior fuse box and found them all to be fine. I really need this fixed! It's getting dangerous. Please help, i'll try anything. |

Re: cluster lights are all completely black!
Are all the wiring connections fastened securely? If they are not latched properly it could cause this.

Re: cluster lights are all completely black!
Thanks for the reply, I ended up taking the rear wiper switch out and testing it with that small bulb out of the switch and it all worked again. Must have been a short in the bulb or something. So since the bulb wasn't working before it's no loss to just leave it out. I didn't realize that something that small could take out all the lights!
