Re: I did it

Sorry i made a whole thread for it, i just feel excited, that and it was a lot of money to me, hopeing im going to be happy with it.
Question though, this is 3" all the way around, intermediate and everything, will it go on ok on the rest of my stuff if its all stock for now? Does it come with some sort of adapter for stock to 3" or what

Re: I did it

No bro, i got the full catback, muffler, inserts, intermediate, mounting hardware, everything... better be everything for $750
Question is, its all 3" all the way around, the intermediate goes up to the Y pipe correct? Well everything is stock right now, so that means the y pipe wont be the same size as the intermediate, how am i going to get that fitted on there, or does it come with an adapter or what

Re: I did it

If your car is stock its 2 1/4 inch exhaust or somehere close to that. You will have to have some kind of a peice to to go from 2in to 3 in. It might be in the kit.

Re: I did it

Borla Performance Exhaust Products are manufactured from T-304 Stainless Steel, are mandrel bent and have a ONE MILLION MILE Warranty. Borla's 01-14888 cat-back system for the '84-92 F-Bodies is a dual-purpose system that starts at the rear of the y-pipe with a 3" intermediate pipe and goes over the rear axle. From there the exhaust flows into a Y-pipe with a 3" tailpipe and dual 3" tips on the passenger side, thru the high-flow muffler, and into the driver's side dual tips. Four interchangeable plates come with the system which allow you to adjust noise and performance levels. Using the solid plate diverts all of the exhaust through the muffler (quietest setting) The other plates have holes of various diameters, ranging from 2 1/2" down to 1 1/2". Refraining from using any plate at all results in a straight-through, free-flow exhaust which can easily be converted back to street-legal in a matter of seconds. All clamps and necessary hardware are included.

Does that help?

Re: I did it

a muffler shop can make an adapter thing to go up to 3 inches from the stock size, i had to do that before i went to 3" all the way....it cost me $5 for the fitting, they took the stock size pipe and swelled one end to fit the 3".

i tried searching part stores and stuff and couldnt find anything to fit 3", most places wont deal with 3 inch exhaust, it took me a couple of days to just find someone who would put the exhaust on since it was 3", they are also the ones who custom made that piece....so i dunno
