Cool Limit with Nos on a B16a1

Hi!
Im using a Nitrous Express kit stage one in my CRX with a stock B16 A1 engine.
The nozzel setting is now at 75hk, do i dare to go higher ?
Iīv got settings for 100-150hk and im planning to go to 100hk thru the singel nozzel that is placed before the intake manifold...
Witch is the most horsepower setting anybody have used thru a singel nozzel setting in the US in a B16 a engine and what are the mods...

implanning to go 12s in 402m

i'd say don't go any higher than 75 unless you plan on goin with direct port injection. also look into a upgraded ignition (if you haven't already) and some bigger injectors too.

well i know a guy that has either a b16 or b18 block(i think b18) and sir heads and he's running a 175 shot. but he has forged everything you can and upgraded the ignition.

if you are feeling risky you could just throw the highest octane fuel you can find into the tank. (i assume you have an air/fuel ratio gauge on your dash (if you don't get one NOW)) step up the jetting to 100 then give it a shot. juast some small bursts at first to see if things start to get funky. if everything seems ok then cool.
however, you really should invest in larger fuel injectors and an upgraded ignition.

i also have nx

what are your jet numbers for your 75 shot. i am running a 50 shot in my zc engine, seems alright but sometimes will stutter once or twice when i get to higher rpm's wondeirng if its just low pressure or i need purge kit, i have stock timing with fuel pressure raised to 40. what kind of plugs are you using? just thought since i finally found someone using same kit on similar car thought we could compare ideas. thanks

Hi!
How is the tube fitted, is the head of the tube facing the driving direction.
I had the same problem, i just relocated the tub and the problem was gone...
Iīve tried diffrent types of pluggs witch are cooler, but the best plugg fore me was the original honda plugg nr 6.
Get a bost retarder, so ju can set the timing from the inside.
I suggest ju retard the timing about 2 degrees, just to be on the safe side.

Well next season i will run faster at the strip.

Sachs clutch 271Nm
HoM race master slickīs 20*8*14
Ported and polished head with 290 degree camshaftīs
Home made race headder with 3" exhaust
But still running 75 hp shots

Iīll be damned, if i couldenīt run low 13 or even a high 12sek race.

Our site is in Swdish, but donīt hesitate to right a topic in english..

Try retarding the timmig a little more! And do you know how to read plugs? I f not then LEARN RIGHT NOW! If you don't know I will check beck and post or I am sure someone else will tell you also. But I would be very careful. My consern would not be as much det. as after a few time the rods could start deforming. Remember you are supose to go by the 20 hp per cylinder. The b16a had 160 hp and you want to add 100 hp plus what ever bolt ons you have to the stock internals? personaly I would not risk it.

If you are runnng a wet setup then the problem is you need a purge b/c when you use the kit the fuel is already at the solenoid but the nitrous line has air at the solenoid, thus it floods the motor with fuel for a moment. You might also want to chck that the solenoid is working properly.
