Acceleration problem after dealer repair

After I had the intake manifold repaired on my 97 CV, I now have a very distint hesitation at around 35 thru 45 miles mph as the transmission is shifting to next higher gears. If I go very easy on the acceleration through this range the hesitation is very subtle. It occurrs about 3 out of 5 times but was difinitely not there before the repair. Any insight anyone??

Re: Acceleration problem after dealer repair

I have the same problem at WOT hitting second gear, she lays down for a few seconds and then picks back up. I posted something similar to this before and was told its the nature of the beast. I cant cross reference my car before the new intake because I didn't own the car when the original cracked. Maybe there is some connection.

Re: Acceleration problem after dealer repair

elow,

I would think this may be a vacuum leak problem. The transmission is computer controlled, so a vacuum leak does not have any DIRECT impact on shifting, but engine RPM and driveablilty are VERY MUCH affected by vacuum leaks.

Check the throttle position sensor to be sure it is plugged in properly.

Re: Acceleration problem after dealer repair

Thought I had my problem solved when I got a P0303 code, checked then replaced cyclinder 3 spark plug. Ran fine for about 2 or 3 weeks then P0303 code (with blanking Mal light) came back. Checked spark plug wires and coil packs. Primary of all coils read lower than the spec (about 1.5 ohm vs 8-9ohms per spec however I haven't gotten any error codes on any other cylinders
