What the heck are these "crews" on AF? And how do I join? Do I WANT to join?

thanks to a day in a camper in the heart of newport beach...after rallying around and being idiots, DMC12 spoke the words that forever started it! OmiKroN!!!1!!!1! Crew is my insanity spreading forth...you have to be kinda nuts to be in...ask me for details
