CMP Poblem 97 taurus
the cmp keeps going bad on 97 taurus
The check engine light comes on and it says bad cmp you take it apart and not only the sincer is destrode so is the sincer drive by that i mean the distributer looking things inside that rotates around and has that half moon looking thing on it that gets ripped off also! this is the third time i've had to replace the whole distributer thing in the last 3 yrs. but I got them all from junkyards DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS ????

Buy new. We have replaced quite a few and haven't had a problem. The newer syncronizers are redesigned to help reduce that problem.
