putting springs on myself or paying someone how and how much ?
is there any way I can put my intrax springs on myself?? I wanted to use big C clamps to compress them down but does anyone know step by step how to do it ?? and if not, how much u guys think it'd cost me to get them put on by someone?? all my friends here say $200...thats more than I payed for the springs themselves...
thanx everyone ![]() matt

Doubt you'll have much luck with the clamps. The clearance is really tight, so I'd imagine you'd have to use proper spring compressors. You can pick them up cheaply enough, however.
I can't say for intrax springs, but changing stock springs is dead easy - just a little time consuming. I can give you the details of changing P11 springs if you want. Let me know.. |

All I've heard is that intrax springs suck.

I was going to do mine myself....autozone will rent you the spring compressor for free. But you gotta put a 50 dollar deposit.
Mine was 175 to install....so I guess with alignment that is good. |

Damn $200 to install springs, no way. I got my springs/shocks put on for $100. The guy told me that an alignment is not necessary if you get the shocks/springs made for you car. Maybe I should get one, I wonder if it will make my ride less bumpy?
