police auction

just wondering what some of your guys take is on police auctions. i mean i no cops and myself have been going to them for a few years. never had a problem with the cars ive bought, but i do no that u can get a crappy load there sometimes. for the most part ive found great caprices and crown vics for dam cheap. let me hear what you think.

After having worked on them and seeing what my department repairs(totaled in real world) I would never buy a black and white. a unmarked detective car or the chiefs car would be a good buy though.

anyone know of any police auctions besides govdeals.com. would really help me if u guys could help. also, can anyone tell me where to find good deals on former cop cars. i guess that would be a police auction. but do you know of any good ones? i see people with clean ass crown vics and i no they got it from somewhere. help a guy out.

Check the paper for local municipalities that may have a surplus auction. We did that for years and now use govdeals.

*2000 Ford Crown Vic (74,000 mi) this is my 2000 cvpi. no leaks. clean super fast! dummy still works. not too bad on gas but not great. it is better on gas then my 91 caprice. but my question is do u think i got a good deal. paid 2800 for it at auction
