Hello, I just found this place

WOW!! This place is a gold mine of information. I have been looking for tips and techniques to get started. Its not easy to find info like that all together in one place.

Anyway, I'm sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane.
I have never built a real model car before. My mom got me a die-cast General Lee for Christmas that required about 30 mins to assemble. It was really fun, so I have decided to try my hand at real modelling. I had no idea how deep and involved this hobby is. It is pretty overwhelming at first.

My goal is to model all the cars from the Dukes of Hazzard. I have counted 35 so far that I want to model (this includes bad-guy cars, Chawktaw County police cruisers, old Moonshine runnin cars, and the like). I am sure I will need a lot of help so I have found the right place. I hope to get to know some of you guys.

Later

Welcome to AF! And good luck with your quest to recreate all the DofH cars. Didnt know people were that hardcore about this show, even as a kid i thought it was kinda silly but power to you!

Re: Hello, I just found this place

Welcome to AF. I was really new to the hobby about 5 weeks ago, but sense then, I have almost completed one model that looks pretty good for a first car. It is amazing how much you learn, and when you think you understand something after looking at it once, then you learn something more the second time. I never knew how in depth this hobby was either until a few weeks ago. It is super fun, and any free time I get now, I model. In about a week or two I should have my truck up as a first model, but I cannot airbrush it because weather...... Anyways welcome - Toyota00
