d16z6 and d16a6 compatibility...

Are the flywheels and clutches interchangeable between the 2? I met a guy with a lightened flywheel and clutch off of his z6 and I am thinking of buying them. Thanks for any help.

as long as you keep the flywheel and clutch the same...it should work with the a6 tranny. most of the clutches out there 90-00. nc_rex once broke it down (with pics and all) and showed the difference (if there was any) in clutches from 90-00.

the key is to keep the same flywheel as clutch

no problem! that's what i'm here for .

how much you gonna try and get them for? if you don't plan on getting the flywheel lightened...you should consider having it resurfaced.
a) it makes the flywheel like new
b) resurface=shave some off. it ends up being slightly lighter :ylsuper

just something to think about before you drop it in...

The flywheel is already an 11 lbs flywheel, I dont think it needs to be any lighter. As well as a stage 3 centerforce clutch.
