Hey Guys,
Anyone here running ARP headbolts on there D16A6?
I found them listed only for the D16Y blocks, or what are good head bolts to have?

Thankx,

Re: ARP Head bolts and D16A6

I looked this up a couple months ago:

d16y's are the only blocks that are different. all other d16s, d15s, and even d17's use the same part # from honda

let me check tomorrow to make sure. I ordered d16z studs for my a6, they seem to work.

Ok its from Hondat tech but the studs are only 89 I paid 115 for mine so thats a good ass deal. Call them but I believe that the Z6 is the same as the A6 as far as the head studs go.

Whats the benefit of aftermarket head studs? I tried to get them for my car when I was doing my headgasket but i couldn't get them fast enough.

Re: ARP Head bolts and D16A6

you dont have to replace them every time, plus they will hold higher torque.

Re: ARP Head bolts and D16A6

More for boost and/or for NOS (lol) You dont get the stretch from studs, also they are alot stronger. Stock motor not really worth it but if your doing cams, boost, NOS it would be a good Idea
