there should be four wires on your tach.

red goes to a 12v+ when ignition on.
black is ground
green goes to your distro i believe
and white(if a tach w/ light) goes to ur dash board light.

the green one has to get run to the engine right?
if so easy way to do this?

The green wire from the tach, you can wire to either the tach wire on the back of your gauge cluster (it'll be a BLUE wire with silver dots), or to the same blue wire that you'll find sitting by itself on the top of your driver's side front shock tower, under your hood. The red wire hook to your main ignition wire. Got to www.jdmfan.com, as they have some nifty wire diagrams of what wires are located where, on there. Also, all this info is assuming you have a Civic.
