garage diorama

Can everyone that has one post thier Dioramas of garages. I am in the process of planning one out and could use some ideas. what I have in mind is to make a 3 or 4 car garage with a driveway that loops infront of it.
I have never seen anything like what I have in mind, and it is a general idea of what my dream garage set up would be.

So if you have one, please show us some pics. If not, please comment on the idea.

Re: garage diorama

nice idea. my ultra top secret project is a diorama that i am working on right now. i have been working on mine for about a little over a month now and still a few months ahead. if you want to wait you can use ideas from my diorama. only info i'm going to give out on mine is that it's 60x20 inches. all for 1/18 scale. i have ideas for your driveway and sidewalk. i was planning on using textured spray paint in gray color to do the sidewalk. it's about $7 in us. you can find it at michaels or any hardware store like lowe's.

Re: garage diorama

I was always thinking on how to make something that would make my cars look more real.. I think the easiest way is to go outside.. break branches off of a tree.. to make them look real to the car.. and find a good place to shoot.. Hopefully the hobbie shop by my house has things like a hoist n shit.. that would be tight

Re: garage diorama

@kerbie. actully mine is nothing like a garage. it is much more complex. think lots of real stuff. (no it's not gonna be 1:1 scale it's 1:18). anyways it won't be done for a while. i'm stuck on something and can't quite figure it out and i can't start on some other stuff until i get this done. still looking for two four post lifts.

Re: garage diorama

@g35 no i don't think my parents woudl be okay w/ that. i think the only way i can get them is if some website carried them. i dont' want the 2 post because it has a 1" base that makes it wierd. bcz i want the lift to sit on my floor. if there was a huge 1" base it would look wierd.

Re: garage diorama

nosliw2004:
I remember being told by someone that the 2 post lift can be removed from the base ( i could be wrong). I believe they are screwed down, so i dont see why you could screw or glue one onto a diorama.

Re: garage diorama

well the floor of my dio is foam core. which = really weak.it would be too much trouble to re inforce it w/ wood and whatnot. and when i look at the base it is too thick to go flush w/ my foam core floor if i cut a hole.
