front hub replacement
I just replaced my front hubs because they where bad, real bad. I couldn't even hardly here my wife and I talk they were so loud. Now after I've replaced them I am hearing this popping noise coming from the frontend. I can't imagine that I killed the cv axle's when I replaced the hubs.
On the dr side I took a mallet and hit on the end of the axle a few times thinking it would slide out and it didn't and then I went and rented a puller to do the rest. On the ps side I used the puller and not the mallet. I had the axle loose before I put the puller on it. What gives? and no I didn't use a manual hince the use of a mallet. |

Re: front hub replacement
Are the axle nuts properly torqued for bearing preload? What torque value did you use?
