WIP-New Beetle

This is was an assembled tamiya kit given to me by my sister (i dont know where she got it) but it was just the basic assembly thing no paint, no detailing etc.. so i decided to take it apart and play with it. I plan on making a tuner or a semi tuner version

Cutting the plastic molded mesh to be replaced with a metal mesh

I decided to cut up some holes on the hood and add some styrene and metal mesh, still needs to be puttied

since i can't find any after market parts or photo etched for this model here in my hometown, I will try to scratchbuild some parts. Here is a sample of a disk brake I made from soda aluminum can this is not the final brake set but just a sample on how to do the disk since this is my first scratchbuild one.

this is the muffler tip i plan on placing on the model made from antennas of old radio sets.

will post more pictures of the built as it goes along. By the way this is my first post here in terms of making a model. I dnt have much experience but I have been reading the forum since last year and I have learned a lot from what I read
