Unhappy b16 problems!

Man i had to drive like 30 minutes to home with my car cause i got it towed to the muffler shop to get piping and bleed the breaks. Well i had run into hard problems. My engine keeps dieing on me. I have to keep reving the engine in order for the engine to keep running! My car also over heats and i did plug in the fan but i don't know what else to check besides my thermostat. My v-tec doesn't work either! Can someone please help me? I appreciate it! Thanks!

throwing any codes? check your vaccuum lines and make sure theres no leaks anywhere. did it run fine on your way to the muffler shop? if so, maybe somethings wrong with one of your o2 sensors...just some guesses..

when i was borrowing my friends mugen chipped ecu my car would die also if i didn't keep my foot on the gas (for a while i was braking with my left foot and keep my right foot on the gas). if you are using a chipped ecu....which i thought that you said a while ago that you would be...just adjust the two 12mm(i think) nuts on your throttle cable. this way it keep the the "foot on the gas" for you. it working for me. as far as the overheating thing goes....i had my share of the those problems....if you've already checked your thermostat and your cooling fan connections then try checking/replacing your cooling fan relay (in the fuse box in the engine bay). to find out what those the numbers are: go to the hybrid honda website for ecu trouble codes. i think the easiest way to get to it is by going to a search engine and typing in "honda ecu trouble codes". hope this way of some help sammy

Yeh thanks man. I didn't get my ecu chipped cause that guy took way too long. You know that red braided vacuum hose ? Well its not plugged in to my throttle body. Why? cause the where the hose clamps on is broken . the needle part is broken so i think i have to replace the whole throttle body. i hope this works. Thanks for ur help man i appreciate it

sounds like you have a vacumm leak to me, check your hoses.

also for the overheating, check that you have enough fluid inside the system, and that its properly mixed.

I have the b16 in there for about 2 weeks but i hardly drive it. I think it is my vacuum leaks. My map sensor has some missing hoses so i have to go figure where all that goes.

im also having problems with my b16 swap. except my problems have to do with the gauge cluster not working at all, and my fan not coming on. everything else works, and i have no codes in the ECU. after my alignment and i bleed the brakes, i would really like to actually drive the car. help please
