Mystery Project...

I have been working on something simpler in between all the Seven scratchbuilding the last few weeks.
These are the wheels and air cleaner for it.
The wheel centers were cut from an existing kit wheel, I machined the beauty rings and filter top from aluminum and made the tire decals.
The filter element is foam and the wing nut is PE... - Mark

Re: Mystery Project...

Nope, not Pontiac, not even GM. Thanks for playing, care to try again?
You are in the correct time frame...

There are a lot of wheels out there that are so similar, but when compared side by side, quite different... - Mark

Re: Mystery Project...

They look like the wheels from an old MG or mini. But something about them says American to me. Maybe an old Ford Mustang or Fairline.

Re: Mystery Project...

I was see'n if you guys could guess what I used for the wheel centers.
As for the car, you can guess all ya want, but I'm not telling 'till it's done.

I will say those guesses are not even close to what the project is David, the wheel center cap color is close to the body color, consider the size of the air cleaner, and I wish I had a real one of 'em... - Mark
