cylinders

this is a pretty technical question but i though i'd ask it here because cadillac uses this technology. does anyone know how to turn individual cylinders off with a switch. I myself don't own a cadillac so I would like to do this to my car. I am aware that this involves turning both the fuel injectors and valves off. how could i do this?
