The NSX looks great but I would expect more parts.

Re: Tamiya Raybrig NSX released

Looks OK, but I wish Tamiya would stop using the die cast chassis, the detail at the suspension is disgraceful! I think I would have to adapt the chassis from one of the older NSX's when I get mine. I Should not have to do this with a new kit at this price! Also, I would expect an engine and a challenging build for the amount of money they charge for these new kits, not high price, bare minimum!!

Sorry about the rant, but I'm sure there are others here who share my thoughts?

exhaust smoke, you're preaching to the choir here, if you go back through the threads of Tamiya's releases in the last year, you'll see the same thing you're saying said over-and-over again.

Re: Tamiya Raybrig NSX released

I agree with everyone else with the want for more detail than a die-cast chassis, especially since I can't imagine that the chassis for the '05 NSX varies much from the older NSX models. I noticed the instructions mention locations of PE parts; I'm going to assume that in Tamiya's current (& frustrating) trend that these are sold separately?

Noted! I'm gonna stop ranting about this! I suppose, if Tamiya continue down this route, I'll probably just stop buying them

Yes, the PE is separate. I wish they would at least release them at the same time, so I won't have to wait until March for the whole package to be shipped from HLJ.

Re: Tamiya Raybrig NSX released

complaisancy.
too many nutriders who STILL bang on about tamiya superiority and how everyone else, especially revell and fujimi, are bad compared to tamiya and that they will never buy a kit from them.

Re: Tamiya Raybrig NSX released

"Complacency."

I don't know of many people that buy only Tamiya kits? Just like in every other thread about how much Tamiya's metal chassis suck, of which there are about 100,000, the concensus seems to be that it's the car, not the company, that decides whether the kits comes off the shelf.

Re: Tamiya Raybrig NSX released

To second what Willimo said, I've brought a lot more Hasegawa kits of late then Tamiya kits, because the subjects I want are produced by Hasegawa.
I shop based on subject, not kit manufacturer.

Re: Tamiya Raybrig NSX released

I think that the new Revell AG kits are of the same quality as Tamiya kits, only the decals suck.
