Re: Drove dads mustang today!

Was it stick or auto? They are good cars for the price, but I think driving them is kinda dull, unless youre packing a whole lot of power(aka cobra, mach 1) have you driven a turbo dsm yet

Re: Drove dads mustang today!

I drove my buddies 04 Mustang with the V6 and a standard tranny, I was impressed at the power it had even if it was just a V6. Also I've never driven a turbo DSM or anything turbo in general.

Re: Drove dads mustang today!

I've driven a '67 Shelby GT500 before. That thing hauled. The tires weren't too great so I could spin them by just going a little more than half throttle. The exhaust was so loud and so deep that it was the only thing you could hear when driving. That beast got me into cars.

Re: Drove dads mustang today!

well from what I've seen so far from my car (note it's all stock).. the turbo isn't much to gawk about. Versus my 2.4L n/t it feels the same till 3rpm. You have a little boost of power after 3rpm but It still feels like my 2.4 pulled faster through first (but I could be wrong). 2nd gear is where I feel the power is. Other then that it's meh.

It's not something I would run to my friends about and go crap trade your GS and get a turbo you will die when you have one or something like that

<-- not trying to hate people who talk up turbos. If yours feels faster and is modified thats great. I just don't feel the power.

Re: Drove dads mustang today!

Time to upgrade to a bigger turbo....you won't be comparing it to a 2.4 after that. And mustangs are ugly and slow unless it's a cobra or m1 like stated.

Or even do the free mods and make sure you don't have any boost leaks.

I drove an 05 mustang GT that was supercharged. It put out about 425whp, that thing hauled ass. When I got back in my car it felt slow as shit.

You have a GS, it is slow as shit . Just playin man.

Nothing quite compares to doing a good hard pull in a AWD DSM. Mike and I were out driving one day when his car was not being gay and he took me on a 1st, 2nd, and half of 3rd gear pull through the "ghetto" of our town. Scared the shit out of me and I have been hooked since.
