Tamiya MS Paint?

Hi guys!

I wanted to start my Tamiya Honda Repsol but in the assembly guide, it says that I need MS-1 and MS-4, which are Fluorescent Yellow and Fluorescent Orange. I can't find those paint where I live, is it possible to order those colors online, because I never saw fluorescent paint in hobby shop.. Maybe I could use some Createx Paint, I think they made some fluorescent colors.

Thanks!

Re: Tamiya MS Paint?

I am not sure if Tamiya are still making the MS paints.I had a hell of a job getting hold of them here in the UK.When I built my last model (1999 Ford Focus WRC) I wanted the Flourescent Orange.I found a place that had some in the UK and managed to get a can but they haven't had any since. My local model shop used to sell them but they haven't had them in for ages.Does anyone know if Tamiya still produce them?

Re: Tamiya MS Paint?

Tamiya's MS range has been replaced by the TS range, most of the colors are still available under TS numbers.
There are fluorescent hobby paints available, including from Humbrol which I am sure you can get in the UK.

Re: Tamiya MS Paint?

Testors sells an enamel paint set of fluorescent colors that might work for you. Parma also has fluorescent colors in their acrylic Faskolor line (Which dries flat and needs to be clearcoated. Concensious is that it is just relabeled Createx, possibly with a flex agent so it will stick to Lexan). Of course you'll need to airbrush both of those types of paint. Any hobby shop should be able to get you either of those products.
