What do you know, I just painted mine today

I used "Plasti-Kote" It did a great job, they look real good (I went with blue, which actually looks pretty nice against the black of my car's body) I probably would have gone with something a little less outgoing, but I've already started on a blue accent theme for my car. My suggestions: 1. start early in the day, so you don't run the risk of painting into the evening, there's nothing more frustrating than fighting mosquitos while trying to paint something. 2. IMO, I like painting the color on better, as opposed to spraying it, I felt like I had more control, (and I didn't have to spend time digging masking tape out of caliper vents) whether you paint or spray, use multiple thinner coats, it provides a much smoother look. 3. Make sure to clean the calipers well, I used my normal car washing detergent, but feel free to go one better (brake cleaner, etc.) the cleaner the calipers, the better the surface that you'll be applying the paint to, on that note, you might want to do a little sanding too, it does a good job of getting off the difficult grit. And finally, be patient when painting them, I was a little turned off at first, because it looked like a hack job, but once I got a couple layers on, and allowed drying time, they ended up looking nice and shiny. I'll probably put one more coat on tomorrow, just to make sure. Oh yeah, and don't be afraid to go crazy with the paint usage, I did 3 coats on all 4 calipers, and still aren't half way through the can. You know, there's some dressing up that can be done under the hood as well...
