I LOVE MY NEW D16Y8!!!!!

i haven't really opened up the y8 yet...hell, i haven't even really been driving the car at all. today i was out rolling around in the Si minding my own business chillin' with the flow of traffic. here comes a del sol in my rear view and the kid driving is riding my ass. i put on my blinker to get over in the left lane so the punk could pass. instead he thought it would be funny to try and get over to speed up so i couldn't get over. f*ck that. i dropped a gear, got over, and opened the car up....i was out. i know it being a del sol there was a 50%-50% chance he also had a d16y8. i could tell he was like WTF? and speed up but he was never able to actually catch up to me. i proved my point and didn't want a ticket so i slowed down. at the next light he waited for me...i rolled up and rolled down my window and asked "does that have v-tec?" and he goes "yea" and so i replied "i have the same engine...." his jaw dropped and he goes "seriously?" so i gave him a :right: & and then churped out. i watched him & his friend in my rear view as they just sat there staring.

you wanna know the sad part? i don't have the v-tec hooked up...so he got beat by a girl with the same engine minus the v-tec and he couldn't keep up :evillaugh (what is the point of a fast car if you don't know when to shift????)

now i wish i would have said....i have the same engine...except i beat you without the v-tec.....muhaahaaha!

i'm gonna go with the msd rpm activated switch. i have a leaky injector. i got 3 used injectors from 3 different places and all 3 work worse than the one i got. so we sent off a set of 4 to be matched and blueprinted....the place claims they never reciveved them. this has been going on for like 2 months. somehow or antoher the problem needs to be fixed before anything else.

i actually had the mechanic who screwed up my d16a6 tell me "it's no big deal...just a little gas leaking...what's the worst that could happen?"
i'm sitting there thinking...ummm, car BLOWS UP into 50 million pieces. but hey, what wrong with that?

nothing at the moment. my final plans are to get the windsheild fixed and the car painted. the last things i will put on (in no particular order) the car are:

turbo
JDM rear seats
rear disc brake conversion
USDM spec SiR hood

and then ta-da....it will be done forever

hehe awsome kill, the rice as been commin out in force here but i'm holding my ground nicely....some of these kids really need to learn how to drive...its NOT the fact i autocross every weekend. But some of the kids around here think shifting from 1-3-5 makes you go faster...i'm not kidding. That and so many little rich pricks are now driving assorted acura products (CL-S and RSX-S)....but i don't care...bring'm on lol. Hit me up on AOL sometime babe we'll talk :silly2:

some of the kids around here think shifting from 1-3-5 makes you go faster...i'm not kidding.

i was saying to jer lastnight that kid must have been shifting at like 2500 (hehehe). there is no way his v-tec kicked in. i was actually shifting at like 4-4500 myself. i didn't start off racing him...was just trying to get over when he thought he'd try and be cute and get over and speed up.

the thing that gets me is i get hit up to race by like every kid every day. usually i just look over and laugh...i know they can't drive and they don't know what i got. every now and again they get me into something like yesterday...and it gets me that i give in. it's not worth fines and stuff just to prove to some kid that i'm not some girl driving her man's ride. shit! i was out with my friends racing the streets of los angeles well over 8 years ago. and some punk 16 yr old kid living in a town of 25,000 who has never been to the track in his car that is lucky if it has I/H/E (but plenty of stickers) has better skills? that is why i TRY so hard no to get caught up in the mix.
