I own a Nissan x-trail 2001 model and I'm also part of the site due to me trying to get my jeep sorted out via daignostic remedies cos the backyard mechanics are a real pain.

Well it was serviced by a machanic who doesn't have a clue about diagnostic machines and how to treat with sensors. So the long and short of it is when I changed pugs and changed oil and cleaned injectors the jeep came back with an idling problem.

By the time I got the CD manual for it the damge was already done.Apparently my vehicle needs to be calibrated by a diagnostic machine when the plugs are changed so as to reset the ecu to factory settings and to let it know that plugs have been changed.

I'm in the process of doing another full service on it and I have found a mechanic who has a diagnostic machine that not only can check for error codes but can calibrate it to factory settings and reset the Ecu so i'm hoping after that my problems are done.

The jeep when idling at a standstill or under load like Ac on or bringing up or down windows; the vehicle idles down and runs at a rough idle which is really annoying. It used to be worse when I was approaching a corner and applying the brakes to stop the jeep used to stall.

With time the ECU sorted that out itself and now I'm left with this rough idle and acceleration flat spot.Other than that the vehicle is a dream to drive.

Also with all of this in mind the jeep has a flat spot when accelerating and all of these problems happened as soon as we did the first service on it.(When the back a yard mechanic got hold of it).

I'm also in the process of buying my very own Diagnostic Machine so that I can do the maintanance of my vehicle myself cos they cost between $200 to $500US depending on what you want it to do.

You can give me a shout on my cell if you think you can help @ # 682-1268.

Take care,

Like Flip said, welcome to the site, but lets keep any car related problems to the brands section.
