F-Body

Guys why are Camaro's,Trans Ams, and Firebird referred to as F-Body shaped cars? I feel like such a noobs with my last two threads lmao

I honestly thought the term F-body had something to do with the type of frame the car sits on. I don't know, but would like to. Nothing wrond with asking questions.

ill explain this again lol

the 1992 grand prix is the only one thats my fault lol. I drove it like a truck basicly.. Blew the head gasket coolent got in my oil and the engine blew lol

the 1990 aerostar we rolled the odometer over in less then 5 years so it had tonnes of miles on it and the 1999 venture the oil pump went which put a piston thru the block if i remember correctly.

the tranny...parents never change fluid and it got stuck in OD and wouldnt shift out so with all the stress on it it fucked up too

Yea i put a piston through the block of my 99 Intrepid. Not a fun experience...Dodge was a POS in the 90s. especially that engine; the 2.7

No shame in asking questions man. When I first got my car I always wondered what the term F-body meant as well. Of course I knew it had to do with the cars frame and body design, but I never knew what the "F" meant. Hope that link helps explain things for ya.
