Dual Batteries

Any one looked at these for an easy way of going dual battery?

The only difference between that and what I have is that mine is bridgeable (my isolator). It's just an isolator, nothing fancy about that.

Why go with dual batteries???

What are the advantages & disadvantages???

the point is to isolate your accessories (winch, lights, compressor, etc.) on one battery from your starter battery. so if your accessory battery dies, you can still get home. some kit even give you the ability to combine tha amperage of multiple batteries and make them look like one big ass battery.

the cons would be installing the damn thing and finding a place to put the second battery. not an insurmountable con byt any means, but a con none the less.

Dual Batteries

I got mine through Wrangler NW Pwer products. 2 1000 cranking amp Optimas and a 160 amp alternator. They have also worked out a bracket to allow us to move the alternator to a safer location when swimming ( have snorkel will travel). The reason we went to this set up is because we have 2 HS9500 winches on the truck...one front one rear...and we were concerned about the electrical system. Come see it at GOX
