Just to make things a bit more complicated..... on the IAA in Frankfurt Subaru announced the LHD Sti model. It will only have 265 hp, but will have the Brembo brakes and the 6 speed gearbox. The car will be availble spring 2002. No prices announced yet, but it's definite it's comming to Europe.

Oh yes... the first batch of LHD EVO VII RS are due any day now.... The RS2 will follow in a months time or so...

Look yamil, if you can only spend 25-26k anyway, don't even think about the evo vii if you're in the u.s. Of course, evo vii rs2 versions will be hitting u.s. shores before summer 2002(and I'm not talking about evo importers, I'm talking at dealerships, trust me, I know these things) meaning somewhere around march/april, you will be eating evo vii's dust. But like I said before, evo vii's will be base $32k cars. So decide!

Found out some prices. Source of the info is a pricetag on the IAA motorshow in Frankfurt, Germany.

Euro spec, 265 hp, 6 speed, brembo etc. Impreza STI: Euro 36,000 incl. salestax (14%) = Euro 31,578 ex tax or in US$ 29,052 (at current exchange rate)

EVO VII RS2 Euro 43,600 incl. sales tax (14%) = 38245 ex tax = US$ 35,186 (at current exchange rate).

Of course prices on various markets can/will differ given it's particular situation. Prices above will give you some indication of the stickerprice. Dealers will probably sell above stickerprice for the first couple of months in the US.
