Question The BIG question (can someone answer fairly sharpish)

OK. Can someone tell me what would be the best image editing program to render cars? Is it Adobe Photoshop, or is there another one?. Price doesn't matter, just the best and easiest one to use.

Thanks,

Ross.

Adobe Photoshop. I have been using photoshop for 4 years. I love it. I find it an excellent program and its pretty easy to use if you are computer smart.

Re: The BIG question (can someone answer fairly sharpish)

I'm not an expert in this kind of stuff, but I have a few suggestions.

For now, Photoshop is great.

BUT! If you are interested in pursuing the transportational/industrial design field, there are better programs you can get for good money that do an amazing job. Check out Maya, Rhino or Alias, all top notch programs. I'm not too sure on the details of these, but I'd look into those too.

It's always good to have Photoshop. I never use it for colouring cars, but I still use it for cropping/editing everything, everyday. It is a great program to have, no matter what you're doing.

Re: The BIG question (can someone answer fairly sharpish)

If you want to get a good answer, then go look in the graphic manipulation forum. Talk to the one under the name of Glacius, or put this thread in there. Glacius does some awesome work in there, it's freakin sweet. Also, I've talked with Kartoonz...he seems to prefer Corel over Photoshop. But certain ppl have diff opinions, depending on which program they use most and are better at.

Re: The BIG question (can someone answer fairly sharpish)

I want a program for creating similar things to http://www.cardesignnews.com/portfol...119&imageNum=1 this guy's designs.

AnsisK: I've tried Rhino 3D before (trial). The results that some people can get on them are amazing. The only thing is I don't really know how to use them and wouldn't I need training or something?

BuLLDoGG: I live in the UK, so I don't know if you'll be able to send it to me. If you could I would appreciate it. LOL, I think something like 90% of Russia's CD's are Copied. America wants to cut down on that as there's a lot of money being lost.

Re: The BIG question (can someone answer fairly sharpish)

Hey Ross. I looked at that concept. I could do that in PS with some time. It just takes awhile for me to trace around the edges and fill in the colors. Its easy, just can take awhile. But there is a magic wand tool that helps a lot.

Also, about the price. You can get Photoshop Elements for only $99, its virtually the same thing as Photoshop 6 and 7.
