Dashboard panel lights for '99 civic
Some time ago I saw my friends panel lights for his civic. He had this bad ass blue indiglo tint for them. Does anyone know how much it costs for the lights, and also to be installed,and anyone else know any good deals, or shops to ship/order them from?

Lacit, why didn't you ask your friend when you say them on his dash? I have asked the question you're asking many times in my mind. I would love to replace the lights in my '00 Si's dash. I hate that damn orange color!! But as of yet I have not been able to find out how to do it, where to buy replacement lights, etc.. So i wish you luck in your quest. If you get any answers post them and let me know. Dude, if you can, get a hold of your friend and find out how the hell he did that to his dash.

For the dash panel lights, there is some sort of light lense gel stuff you can get, usually available where DJ equipment is sold or something like that, that's what I was told at least.
For me, I didn't do my panel lights, but I DID home make my own reverse indiglo gauges (till I get the real thing which I'm gonna be getting very soon here). What I did was pulled my gauge cluster/pod out, and there are dozens of lights on the back of it. The dash ones are the biggest bulbs (there's 3 big ones) and like 2 other of the gauge face bubls are smaller, just like how the warning lamps are. All the bulbs on the back (big or small) are all sidemarker style bulbs, the 3 big ones are 194 style bulbs. What I did with those 3 bulbs was I repalced them with hyperwhite bulbs which produce a brighter light than the stock clear bulbs, then I got a set of the blue bulb covers that Autometer makes, and slipped one of those over each of the bulbs. For the smaller bulbs, I cut the cover in half and wrapped it around. When you use hyperwhite bulbs, the blue is darker, more indiglo looking, and if you use clear bulbs, it's more aqua looking. That's the secret as I know it, to getting your gauge faces to illuminate blue for UNDER $10!
