check it out. go to bulletin boards. there is a forum for the civic platform. there are a lot of guys that have done it. I am working toward this swap. i may have to order a back issue of that for that article. did it appear as though it was a swap someone could do in the garage in a weekend without too much trouble? have been looking into all of the problems associated with the swap, getting the motor in and the handling issues. but havn't had much luck. post anything you guys come a across ok? i'll do the same

i dun think it can be a weekend home job unless u got a full tuning garage at your house... u need that crane to lift out your engine... n put in the the big h22a engine... they also had to a lil welding/cutting cuz of the prelude tranny... as for handling... i think we'd have more understeer since there a shitload more weight in the front wid da h22... n i definitely know that the suspesion has to be alot stiffer... oh yeah... its definite that the power steering and AC have to be remove or relocated for the engine to fit... ive seen people put the power steering, AC, and battery in the trunk...

p/s and a/c in the trunk? what a weird location. dont they need some sort of drive like a crank pulley or electric motor. I'd hate to have to run the hoses and lines for all of that from the trunk to the engine bay. and the belt mechanism from the crank pulley to the trunk???? how odd. Moving hte battery to the trunk would be optimal, it would offset some of the weight by 10 or so lbs. if you prepped for the motor first it wouldn't be that big of a deal. oh and as for the shop, my mechanic lets me use his shop whenever i need, lift air tools. all that stuff.

im not too sure exactly what parts of the AC and power steering were moved... i think it was only the fluids... ive never really seen what an AC system in a car entails n the power steering either... but like they say... if theres money, theres a way...
