Cool The New Bond Car !

The new Bond film comes out in 2002, and guess what? ... it is his new car. The previous Bond line of BMW cars where FIRED (hahahaha ), & the old sponsorship of the Aston Martin Automobile CO. has returned.

The first bond car to be in the bond films was a made by a famous automobile company that you might know as Aston Martin. It was called the DB4 ... it was silver, had revolving number plates, machine guns behind the headlights, a bullet-proof wall that pops-up to protect the back window, also it has the capability of creating smoke screens, and shots oil to cover a windscreen or hit the bad guys. "But this i am particularly pround of" ... under the gearshift lever is a little red button. What ever you do ... DON'T TOUCH IT !!! (butknowing bond he has to press all the little buttons & switches) it removes the passenger side roof panel, & then proceeds to eject the passanger seat. with or w/o the passenger sitting in it.

Aston Martin & BMW were not the only bond car sponsers. When Roger moore took over as bond, Lotus was there to comfort his needs. The Lotus esprite that debueded in the film "The spy who loved me" was not just a lotus ... it was a submergable vehicle (submarine). After that movie came out, the sale of white lotus esprites when up 300%, in other words if you had the cash, you had to wait 4 years for your Lotus.

then aston martin came back for the timothy dalton bond films. then left once again to be replaced by ther german auto giant, BMW !
they were her for
- Goldeneye
- Tommorrow never dies
&
- the world is not enough

But those damn nazi's (no offence to germans or their cars) got fired, and once again Astoin martin has come back, but with a TWIST. The Vantage is the new bond car. Hopefully Aston Martyin will come out with another cool car, so that they don't disappear again, b/c that is the last thing i ever want. & so do you ! :smoker2: :sun:

yup the new Vanquish in the film has machine guns coming out of the hood. and a rocket launcher in the grill...
(btw, they had to convert the tranny of the Vanquish to support a 4WD suspension ..because there is this WICKED scene in the artic...but ull have to wait to see the movie

and its villian counterpart

a Jaguar XK8 with snow tires and machine guns coming out of the back..

Yeah, Ford is now the main supplier of cars for the new Bond, All except the Aston and Jag, Halle Berry drives a new t-bird even. Both cars have Ford Auto trannys' and the all wheel drive transfer case, along with the 5.0 V-8's with around 325 hp. They have 5 Aston Martins, and 4 of the Jaguars. They also have a hydraulic handbrake to lock the rear wheels and spin it around when they want to, and the missiles are carboard tubes that are fired by compressed air. There is even a scene where the Jag got launched in the air, so they stripped one of them to the shell and mounted a hollow steel tube smaller than a telephone pole and was sealed at the front, then through the open end at the back of the tube they had a smaller tube that they fitted inside the one on the car and shot it like a cannon, or as the put it, it was like shooting the wrapper off a straw. i hope to see the movie, it looks to be a good one

Yes, I think Ford does own them, but not sure on that. Also whatever article I got that from wasn't quite right when they said that Ford is the only supplier of cars in that movie, because I swear that i seen the rear end of a blue Ferrari 360 Modena, now Bond should be in that car!! Just think, there are plenty of spots for the weapons to be!

But he always wrecks his car somehow, I don't know if I can see a wrecked Ferrari without crying, although the Vanquish isn't going to be much easier. I'll just have to keep telling myself, "Its a Ford, it's a Ford..."

He wouldn't be James Bond if he doesn't wreck it.

Vanquish in Die another day is JAG!

I would hate to disappoint you with crude facts...
As documented from many reliable sources Vanquish in Bond is Vanquish by look only
Engine and entire drive is from Jaguar (4x4 X-type)
These are not times of late Albert Brocolli where real Aston would (Dalton) slide on Ice.
That is why they had to demise Aston drive.

That Vanquish is a hot car. It was my desktop for a month there last year when it appeared at the Auto Show....too bad about that 4 year waiting list and the bazillion dollar price tag, or I would be right on it!!!
