Question A Couple questions about the new project car

Hey all,

I have a couple questions about my new CRX. First, this car has shaved door handles, and, naturally, I have already shut the keys in the car. The problem is that I left the ignition on, and now the door solenoid isn't responding. Anyone know how to break into their Rex? Also, the shave job sucks, as you can see, and so I want to put handles back in (maybe rear door ones from a sedan), but Iwondered how much of the door they leave there to mount the handle back in. Let me know if you have any ideas.

Also, the passenger side door catches on the fender and has dented it in, as you can see here:

Anyone know what causes this? Is it a frame thing, or maybe the hinges on the door? Has anyone had this happen before? I think I'll replace the fenders anyway, but I don't want it to happen to the new ones.

Thanks for your input!

seems like they just covered up the handle hole with some bullshit, im sure you can break it very easy and replace with the handles.

the fender can be your door, fender or the frame, check em all.

to get into your car, take a screwdriver to the top of the window frame and pry it back outside the rubber frame thing, then just grab something hard to push the lock out.

Those doors look like they have been bogged up - not cut and welded. At least from the pic.

The door-guard thing... my guess is the car was in an accident and the chassis wasn't straightened properly. Looks like something repaired by the dodgy-brothers

The thing about the fender situation is that I can't tell anywhere on the car that might have been in an accident. It still has the original radiator support, with zero paint missing from the bolts, and the underside of the car looks perfect. It makes me think it has to be something else.

For the handles, do you guys know of anyone who has gone back from shaves to handles?

Thanks a bunch!

Well, thanks to Automotive forums and the fine input that I received from crxlvr, I was able to get in my car. It's now in teardown mode, and I just have to get the motor out, and then start getting new parts!

Again, I need to get ahold of some parts, please check out this thread and let me know if you have any of the parts listed in it! In addition to this list, I now need a set of rear doorhandles from a sedan. Please Please Please send me any information that relates to this!
Here's the thread...
