High Revving /possible vacuum leaks

Hello all. This is my first time here. I just recently bought an 88 Accord LX with only 116K on it. THe maintanence seemed to be kept up pretty well. It has a brand new Caruretor in it. The idle , however, seems to stick and rev quite high -close to 3-4 RPMS while in park, and at initial startup. I though the choke may be sticking, as when I sparay Carb cleaner down it, it idles normally for a while. I did find several old vacuum hoses that I replaced, and that seemed to help a little. Any ideas??????
