|
Any tips on finding a possible vacuum leak?
I have an 89 Astro CL, and have already found two vacuum problems. Is there an easier way to find the leaks than inspecting every square inch of vacuum line as it is a tight space to get into. The two leaks I found were the T-connector on the left side of the engine beside the ac system, and the line that joins the purge canister to the intake manifold.

I've got an '89 as well. Congrats that it still runs.
A vaccum test pump runs about 20 bucks or so. Ironic that the weakest link in all the engine systems is biggest pain in the a** to diagnose.

Just replace all of them. If some are starting to leak, the others probably aren't far behind.
