Am I Nuts?

The WORST thing ever, getting close to your parked car and seeing dings, dents, ripples and holes the size of watermelons. Ok, I might be exgagerating a bit on the size, but doesn't that bust your chops?

I'm getting sick of idiots in parking lots who SWING their doors like there's no tomorrow without any thought or concern about the parked car next to their shit box.
Nevers fails.

My job has moved to new location... 200 parking spots...I park as far as possible...dimwhit fellow employee parks right next to mine...You know the rest.
I wish cars were made of something that did not alter shape or form!!!
Good for repair shops, bad for us G owners and others.

My last car had a driver's door you could grate cheese on - it was that bad. Hoping the same doesn't happen to my new baby - there are less than 10 total dents right now. Best of luck - and park only next to people you know, so you know who to yell at.

Last ditch resort - buy an old 70's beater, fill the doors with concrete, and let them TRY to door it. The beater will be fine, but their door will be TRASHED.

boingo82: The Cement thing was funny.

I know what you mean you park out in the middle of nowhere, and when you come back out everybody and their cousin is parked next to you.

Hey Boingo82, that is great advice, thanks (hehe).
I might just consider that.

It was funny today at work.
Some dude drives up to ask us employees a question (while we were on break) in a Mercedes S500....parks about 50 parking spots away. The parking lot was almost empty too.
Seems to be a Trend.

*roflmao* My dad was tempted more than once to put steel I-beams as bumpers on our 1977 Oldsmobile Delta 88 just for that reason!!! (I still wish he had!!!)

I'd divulge my strategy, but I know it would come to bite me in the butt if I did... :o

well...

you could always get in the dentless paint removal business! LOL

..but the sad thing is that most people just don't care.. and then there are more and more cars out there with plastic doors (Like Saturn and Corvette) so they don't have to worry about door dings... just cracks...

Well, PM me then. Or I'll just have to continue to use my current method, which is only parking next to people I know so I'll know who to blame. That and checking my doors every time I go to get in the car.

This happens all over the world! Every forum I post on ppl complain about the "sheep parkers" no matter how far you park away from the shop entrance and the other cars you will always get some w@nker parking right next to you. Bit of advice dont park next to 4x4 and cars with child seats in the back, they are going to have to open the door wide to get their little brats out or if they are older the child will get out by themselfs and will most likely smack your door. I would give you 50$ if i could catch someone hitting my door it would be soooooooo much fun verbally ripping their heads off and going to work on their car when the go into the shop One last word on the subject F?CKERS!!!:bandit:

Yes its a huge piss off. Ive lost count the amount of money i have spent getting little dents etc taken out of my car.
The worst thing i done was when i got back to my car i noticed a new dent in one of the doors with a paint mark that just happened to match the car parked next to me.
I very carmly took out my key and then managed to walk the length of his car...i think you can guess the rest !!!..lol

I always try and park well away from other cars, even if it means walking twice as far to where i'm going

I just couldn't handle gettin my shi* fixed one more time. ERrrr, the inconsieracies of the human race. So many people take on the thought that "I don't know you, so I could care less about your property!" errr.... I hate door dingers... to all the door dingers in the world, I say
