Re: WIP: 1/25 AMT '57 Chevy Belair Hardtop

the 19's are cool, something i dont think i have seen on a '57.

But I would still go with the first set.

oh, originally I planned to use the 1st set of wheels, but one of them was broken and that's why I am trying to fit something different

I'm not a 'big wheel' guy either, but I do think the big chrome wheels go well with all the chrome trim on the car.
Nice!

Looks great! You should get an LS7 to put under the hood.

LS7? what's that? You mean engine? I m not too familiar with HOT ROD engines. But try learning from the TV-show OVERHAULIN', etc...

The car is very nice, great job, though I think classic rims would fit much better than the modern ones.

Not a fan of the rims personally, but to each his own.

Your BMF work is great.

Throw in a blown 572, and 150 shot of nose with side dumps, and a locker in the rear. Put a Hotchkiss suspension on it with 15" Baer rotors. Then hold on!!!!!!!!

I like the 19"s, they make it look like a resto-rod.

The LS7 is the 7.0L V8 from the new C6 Corvette Z06, and when they say a blown 572, that's a supercharged 572 cubic inch Chevy big-block V8. I'm 99% sure that side dumps are side pipes (always look good) and a locker at the back is a locking rear end. With a 150 shot of laughing gas, you'll need one, because even without NO2, that engine will be putting out some serious HP. Throw on some Hoosiers for good measure, at least at the rear.
